In the month of February 2011 the electricity demand in Italy, amounting to 26.1 billion kWh , registered a drop of 0.7% compared to February last year. (*)
adjusting for the effect of temperature - in February 2011 has seen an average monthly temperature slightly lower than in February 2010 - and on the same days, the change in demand of 0.8% in February 2011 becomes.
In February 2011, the electricity demand was met with a 84.4% domestic production and the remainder (15.6%) the balance of energy exchanged with foreign countries.
In detail, the net national production (22.2 billion kWh) decreased by 2.5% compared to February 2010. Are growing sources of geothermal energy production (+5.9%) and photovoltaic (+115.5%) . In the fall sources idroelettrica (-12,7%) , termoelettrica (-1,0%°) ed eolica (-12,0%) .
A livello territoriale, la variazione della domanda si è articolata in maniera differenziata sul territorio nazionale: -0,5% al Nord, -1,4% al Centro, e -0,7% al Sud.
I 26,1 miliardi di kWh richiesti nel mese di riferimento sono distribuiti per il 47% al Nord, per il 28% al Centro e per il 25% al Sud.
Nel primo bimestre del 2011 la domanda di energia elettrica ha avuto una lieve flessione (-0,7%) rispetto al primo bimestre 2010; a parità di calendario il risultato è invariato.
In termini congiunturali, the seasonally adjusted change in electricity demand in February 2011 compared to the previous month was recorded. The profile of the trend remains on a steady-state level.
