"Bulgaria's decision to promote the production and distribution of electric cars is an important signal to the country's image, which is at the forefront of European policy in a competitive without pollution.

Commissioner presented a proposal to the bodies specialized for the preparation of the EU, before the summer break, the general rules for standardizing and charging of electric cars, so that every European can travel across borders without any problems.

"This area is a great chance for the European economy and for Bulgaria. This is a new industry that combines innovative technology and encouraging the development of other areas that bring more added value to the economy, science, development, education, high-tech industries, said Minister of Economy and Energy, Trayce Traykov. Bulgaria is one of nine countries that have signed a joint declaration on the electric mobility in Europe.

This is fundamental to the development of tourism and of all economic activity. The premier Borisov has asked aid from Brussels for the construction of the Hemus highway. "You can count on," he promised Tajani.
Bulgaria has already initiated two projects for the production of environmentally-friendly transport in Lovech and Stara Zagora. The first is in partnership with China, the country with the highest consumption of electric cars. The second is to assemble cars to electricity with an estimated capacity of 5000 per year. The Ministry of Economy will stimulate the sector with measures in the investment promotion laws and future innovations. At the moment there is an ongoing process including through the PO "Competitiveness" for a total of 100 million leva for small and medium enterprises in the sphere of high technology. In line with the consumer support is carried out jointly with other public bodies and local authorities, to fund purchases and tax incentives, providing free parking spaces, taxi differentiated services, etc..
